A Guide to Wardrobe Box Assembly

As you shop for boxes for moving home, one of the boxes that you would most likely need to get would be wardrobe boxes. Wardrobe boxes are specially designed to hold and store clothes on hangers so they can be very useful if you clothes that should not be folded or crumpled as they are being transported to your new location.

When you buy wardrobe boxes, you would usually get them unassembled; however, you need not worry about having a hard time putting them together as they are quite easy to assemble. All you need to have would be some heavy-duty tape. Here is a guide on how to assemble wardrobe boxes.

1. Get a flat wardrobe box and then turn it upside down. After opening the wardrobe box, you can then fold down the opposite flaps and then tape them closed. You can then do this again with the other flaps. However, if you are having a hard time because the box is taller than you, you can place the box on one side so you can tape the flaps. To gain leverage, you can push the box against the wall as you tape the flaps.

2. You should then turn the wardrobe box so that the right side is up in such a way that the bottom that you tape would now be against the floor. For access to the interior of the box, fold the front flap.

3. Stick your hand into the two perforated openings that are at the top. Get the hanging bar and rest it on the openings that you created so that the bar would be parallel to the floor. For additional support, you can tape the bar on the flat piece that lays flush on the side of the box.

4. You can then stick your hand into the perforated openings that are midway down the side of the box. These openings would serve as handles if you want to move the box after filling it.
